Current & Coming Specials

Labor Day at Great Harvest

Most of us labor at one thing or another. Or we labored until retirement. At Great Harvest we love the labor of baking wholesome, great tasting bread. And we love having an extra day off to not bake. Labor Day is a chance to have a last fling at summer and the time to welcome another fine New Mexico fall season.

It's the prime season for hiking, biking and rock climbing. It's the time for another picnic and an al fresco dinner. It's time for the Wine Festival. It's almost time for a trip to the Dixon Apple Farm.

Have an Oz-Some Labor Day!
A flying monkey

Great Harvest is ready to monkey around this labor day with another Oz-some celebration.  so, click your heels together and say "there's no place like Great Harvest."

Bullet pointYep! It's that time again. Time to bake the kid's favorite FLYING MONKEY BREAD. It's a cinnamony, buttery, tasty pull-apart bread that'll have your taste buds a-flappin'.
Bullet pointASIAGO PESTO CYCLONE BREAD - A savory swirl of asiago cheese and pesto in a loaf.
Bullet pointAUNTIE EM & M COOKIES - A chocolate mint cookie sprinkled with M & M Candies.

We'll bake these specials for you on Thursday, September 2, through Sunday, September 5.

We will close on Monday, September 6 and go play!

Simple Pleasures in Our Sandia Mountains

Looking up at the Sandias lifts my spirit even after twenty years of enjoying the sight. From a tram ride to the top of the Sandias to a hike at Tent Rocks or a day of rock climbing - our New Mexico mountains welcome us to adventures from mild to wild.

One of my favorite guide books is Sandia Mountain Hiking Guide by Mike Coltrin. It's available in all our Albuquerque book stores and at REI. Another good way to enjoy our mountains is to join the New Mexico Mountain Club and find hiking buddies for all levels. To visit their web site click here.
