The Tradition Continues

 

 

 

Your new bakery owners are
Jim Guthrie & Liz Pierce

As the chef of the house - after 30 years in Software & IT - Jim chose to mix his passion for food with a business that sells great-tasting health products, where he gets to interact regularly with customers. It makes Jim's day to see customers smile when they taste the breads & sweets made fresh each day.

Although Liz is an Equity Research Analyst by day - her passion for great bread comes from a college year in Paris, where she visited bakeries every weekend. Luckily for Jim - she didn't stay in Paris and open a bakery; instead she returned to the US, where she met Jim in Southern California. 12 years later, they moved to New Mexico with their beloved Dogs & Cats to begin a new adventure; where they can contribute to their community; enjoy the outdoors; and pursue their love of great bread and friendship.

 

Familiar Faces and Products...

The Whole Grain, Artisan, and Gluten-free Breads and assorted Sweets (Muffins, Scones, Bars etc.) you love and have come to expect will not change. Our commitment to our Products, Customers, and Employees remains as strong as ever.

Although the founders of the Bakery (Bill & Peggy Dial) have retired, Liz and I were fortunate to be able to keep all the bakery employees together with their years of experience and love for what they do.

Rest assured you will still see the same hand-made Whole-Grain & Artisan Breads you expect, along with a variety of familiar Sweets choices, served by friendly & familiar faces every day.

Fun New Stuff...

At the same time you can expect to see Jim & Liz introduce new baked items every now and then, both as specials and regular additions to the menu. Recent examples include:

New Honey Butters for purchase; both Vanilla and Plain flavors.
Croissants Test bake Monday 7/14/14 - potentially a new Friday / Saturday item.
Early next year we are planning to start serving sandwiches at lunchtime

We also recently added an iPad® to make it easy for customers to join our Email List.

And over the next couple of months, we will be making some other changes including:

New Customer Restroom
New Inside Seating
New Menu Boards
Various changes to the lobby area to improve your Great Harvest Bakery experience.
